Protect Me, GuardedID! (PC Magazine) - June 2007
GuardedID 1.02 is an impressive update. Though it doesn't try to block all the nasty things that keyloggers do, where it does oppose them, it always succeeded—on my tests, it blocked every keylogger—and its user interface is improved. I like that an icon indicates visually when your input is or isn't protected. You'll want regular anti-malware to defeat and remove keyloggers, but if your signature-based anti-malware fails to block a zero-day keylogger, GuardedID should keep it from nabbing your passwords and other private information sent via IE.

Software Protects Users From Keyloggers (PC WORLD) (Brazil) - April 2007
GuardedID prevents passwords being captured. A little known threat, a keylogger is a malicious program that registers literally each key typed on the leyboard then sends that information to the hacker. How do you prevent this type of threat? This is the objective of GuardedID. GuardedID is software launched by StrikeForce Technologies. The installation and the use of the product are extremely simple. Once downloaded, follow the instructions on the screen and restart your computer. The next time the navigator is opened, GuardedID will appear in the tool bar.
PC WORLD tested GuardedID in a computer with Windows XP Professional. The installation took less than five minutes. The program functions with Internet Explorer, versions 6 and 7. (StrikeForce Technologies promises to launch a version for Firefox soon). PC WORLD installed four keyloggers, three "legalized" and an "illegal passenger". After activated, GuardedID really hid everything that was typed in the browser from the keyloggers. Companies and people who make great use of ecommerce on the Internet will benefits when adopting this software. Remember that the program does not eliminate the necessity of a good antivirus nor of a firewall. It prevents that typed passwords and other information is captured by criminals.*

| Keyloggers are terrible, anti-virus & anti-spyware programs are relative in nature and cannot stop against "unknown" threats. GuardedID is an interesting alternative to deal with spyware and keyloggers that anti-spyware and anti-virus programs don't catch. It encrypts everything that's typed and sends only encrypted data directly for the Internet Explorer. Thus, keyloggers do not have access to what is being typed. INFOLAB test results showed that GuardedID was sufficiently efficient in stopping the four keyloggers we tested it against.* |

| Well intelligent. After installing the program in a test computer, we tested the two main keyloggers that can be bought legally, in Brazil: Tracker and Spector Pro (generally, they are used for jealous spouses). There, we opened Internet Explorer, went to several different websites and started to type a series of different things (usernames, passwords), to see if the installed keyloggers could capture our data. GuardedID passed our test 100%. It really obtained to frustrate our software spies.* |
